Ziplock bags can be opened and closed repeatedly. They are used for smaller products, accessories, dry goods and components and help protect the contents from dust and moisture. Material, thickness and closure are selected according to the product.
LDPE is soft and flexible and is often used for general small-item packaging. PP-based alternatives may be stiffer and more clearly transparent, but availability depends on the closure and design. The bag can include a hanging hole, write-on panel, top section or perforated opening line where manufacturing allows. Food use requires both the material and complete package to meet food-contact requirements. For sensitive electronic components, antistatic, dissipative or ESD-shielding protection must be selected according to the component's sensitivity. An ordinary ziplock bag does not automatically provide ESD protection or leakproof liquid packaging. Emballa helps you compare manufacturing options and select material, design and printing for the project. Emballa is backed by Plastrum OÜ in Estonia, which works with business customers in the Baltics and Scandinavia.
