Minimum order

  • Standard printed tape: from 36 rolls, equivalent to one carton.
  • Tape with four print colours: usually from 144 rolls.
  • Tape with six print colours: usually from 540 rolls.
  • The exact minimum order depends on material, dimensions, adhesive, number of print colours and manufacturer.

Dimensions and design

  • Common widths: 25, 38, 48, 50, 72 and 75 mm.
  • Common roll lengths: 66–132 m.
  • Other widths and roll lengths can be made to order.
  • Rolls for manual packing and machine rolls for automatic and semi-automatic carton sealers.
  • Total thickness, core diameter, winding and unwind force are tailored to use, equipment and operating speed.

Materials and adhesives

  • Backing material: BOPP or PVC film.
  • Adhesive: acrylic, hot-melt or solvent-based adhesive (solvent). Depending on the solution, the adhesive may be based on synthetic or natural rubber.
  • Base colours: transparent, white and brown.
  • Material and adhesive are selected according to the carton's surface, package weight, operating temperature and stresses during transport.
  • The selection also considers recycled cardboard, dusty surfaces, long storage and cold or changing temperatures.

Printing options

  • Printing in up to six colours, depending on the manufacturer's technical capabilities and order volume.
  • Logo, text, contact details, repeating patterns, campaign messages, handling instructions or warning labels.
  • The print is placed on the tape's surface or between the backing material and adhesive layer, depending on the manufacturing technique.
  • Print colours are normally specified using Pantone codes.
  • Print area and pattern repeat length depend on the tape's width, artwork and the manufacturer's equipment.

  • BOPP with acrylic adhesive suits standard packing in warehousing, logistics and e-commerce.
  • BOPP with hot-melt adhesive provides rapid initial adhesion and suits an intensive packing process.
  • BOPP with solvent adhesive suits applications requiring strong adhesion and better temperature resistance.
  • PVC tape offers quieter, more controlled unwinding and good conformability to the package surface.
  • The solution is always selected according to actual use and storage conditions.

Production and delivery

  • Average production and delivery time: approximately 30 days after print artwork approval.
  • Exact timing depends on material, roll dimensions, number of print colours, order volume and production workload.
  • Delivery terms and delivery time are confirmed for each order.

Artwork files

  • Preferred formats: vector graphics in PDF, AI or EPS.
  • Text must be converted to outlines.
  • Print colours must be specified using Pantone codes.
  • If needed, print area and repeat length are added to the artwork according to the manufacturer's technical requirements.
  • A digital proof is prepared for approval before production.

Sealing and labelling in one step

Custom-printed plastic tape combines secure carton sealing with a logo, text or handling instructions. Repeated branding makes the shipment easier to recognise and communicates information directly on the packaging.

BOPP is a versatile, cost-effective choice for daily packing by hand or machine. PVC is particularly suitable for manual packing where quiet, controlled unwinding and a presentable print are important. Warning labels can be used for fragile, perishable or other goods requiring special handling. A repeated logo can make opened packaging or replaced tape easier to spot, but ordinary printed plastic tape does not replace dedicated security tape.

BOPP is a cost-effective, versatile choice for daily manual or machine packing. PVC is particularly suitable for manual packing where quiet, controlled unwinding, conformability and a presentable print are important.

Which adhesive suits fast packing?

Hot-melt usually provides rapid initial adhesion and suits intensive packing. The choice also depends on the carton's surface, package weight, operating temperature and transport conditions.

Can the tape be used in a carton sealer?

Yes. Machine rolls can be made for automatic and semi-automatic carton sealers. Width, length, core diameter and winding need to be checked against the equipment and operating speed.

How many rolls do I need to order?

A standard solution can start at 36 rolls. Four print colours usually require at least 144 rolls and six colours at least 540 rolls. The exact minimum order depends on material, dimensions, adhesive, artwork and manufacturer.
