Minimum order quantity

  • For stock unprinted e-commerce boxes in standard sizes, the minimum order quantity depends on the pack size.
  • Digital printing on stock boxes: from 50 pcs in selected sizes.
  • Custom-made FEFCO 0427 boxes: usually from 1 000 pcs.
  • The exact minimum order quantity depends on size, construction, corrugated board type, printing method and finish.

Dimensions and design

  • Standard sizes: 120 × 80 × 30 mm, 150 × 150 × 60 mm, 180 × 100 × 50 mm, 200 × 100 × 100 mm and 215 × 155 × 100 mm.
  • Larger standard sizes: 250 × 150 × 100 mm, 250 × 200 × 100 mm, 310 × 220 × 150 mm, 350 × 250 × 100 mm and 350 × 300 × 105 mm.
  • Dimensions are normally internal, given as length × width × height.
  • FEFCO 0427 is a self-locking box made from a single die-cut sheet of corrugated board, often used for e-commerce.
  • The self-locking construction can usually be assembled and closed without packing tape.
  • For custom production, dimensions and construction are adapted to the product, void fill and transport conditions.
  • The construction can include a tear strip, self-adhesive sealing strip or a second adhesive strip for returns.

Material

  • E-commerce boxes are usually made from three-layer corrugated board.
  • E- or B-flute is often used for smaller, lighter products.
  • For larger or heavier shipments, a stronger corrugated board combination is selected according to product weight and transport loads.
  • The exterior and interior can be brown, white or a combination of white and brown paper.
  • Board strength and paper grammage are selected according to box size, shipment weight, stacking and the transport chain.
  • The material may contain recycled fibres or be made from paper of certified origin.

Printing options

  • Digital printing for smaller runs and detailed CMYK designs.
  • Flexographic printing for larger runs and simpler designs in one or more colours.
  • An offset-printed outer liner enables detailed designs in CMYK or Pantone colours.
  • Printing can be placed on the exterior or interior and, depending on the method, cover a large part of the packaging.
  • Printing of logos, patterns, campaign messages, handling instructions, QR codes or other product information.
  • The printing method is selected according to layout, board surface, order quantity and desired print quality.

Finishes and options

  • Matt or gloss lamination on the printed surface, depending on construction.
  • Hot foil stamping or spot varnish on selected lined constructions.
  • Die-cut openings, windows, inserts or features that hold the product in place can be added.
  • An integrated tear strip simplifies opening and provides a controlled opening line.
  • A self-adhesive sealing strip simplifies packing and reduces the need for separate packing tape.
  • Two adhesive strips in selected constructions allow the same box to be used for delivery and returns.

Production and delivery

  • Lead time for stock standard boxes depends on size, stock availability and order quantity.
  • Lead time for digitally printed stock boxes is confirmed once layout and quantity have been agreed.
  • Production time for custom-made boxes depends on size, construction, material, printing and finish.
  • Projects requiring a new cutting die, sample box or print preparation need additional preparation time.
  • Exact production and delivery times are confirmed after approval of the technical specification and print files. Delivery to Sweden is confirmed individually.

Artwork files

  • Preferred formats: vector graphics in PDF, AI or EPS.
  • The layout is placed on the manufacturer's approved dimensioned or die-cut drawing.
  • Text must be converted to outlines and images supplied at the required resolution.
  • When using Pantone colours, include the corresponding colour codes in the layout file.
  • Keep key design elements a safe distance from fold, cut and glue lines.
  • The layout, box construction, print area and colour scheme are approved before production.

Minimum quantity, available options and delivery arrangements to Sweden are confirmed for your order in the quote.
