Minimum order quantity

Dimensions and design

  • Dimensions are tailored to the product and required volume.
  • Separately attached cord, textile or ribbon handles.
  • Handle length, thickness, colour and attachment are selected according to the bag's construction.
  • The top edge and handle attachments can be reinforced.
  • A reinforced base can be added according to product weight.
  • Flat construction, bottom gusset, side gussets or square bottom, depending on manufacturing possibilities.
  • Square bottoms and other special constructions are confirmed for each project.

Material

  • LDPE: soft, stretchable plastic with a smooth surface.
  • LDPE thickness is selected according to dimensions and construction; some standard solutions use approximately 120 µm.
  • HDPE: stiffer plastic with a different surface feel.
  • HDPE thickness is selected for the project; some standard solutions use approximately 100 µm.
  • rLDPE or rHDPE with recycled feedstock may be possible.
  • Transparent, semi-transparent, white, black or coloured plastic.
  • Material choice and availability depend on manufacturer and construction.
  • Composition, transparency and recycled content are confirmed separately.

Printing options

  • Flexographic printing according to material and manufacturing method.
  • Up to 6 print colours in certain manufacturing solutions.
  • Colour shades are normally defined in the Pantone system.
  • Printing of logos, text, patterns and brand graphics.
  • The same or different designs on the front and back, depending on the printing method.
  • The print area and printing across gussets are determined from the dieline.
  • Complex designs and special printing are assessed separately for each project.

Options

  • Glossy, matt or frosted surface, depending on the material.
  • Transparent, translucent or opaque material.
  • Different colours for the material and handles.
  • Handles made of cord, textile or ribbon.
  • With custom printing or unprinted.

Production and delivery

  • Approximate production time usually 3–6 weeks after specification and print file approval.
  • Hand-assembled or more complex custom solutions can take 4–8 weeks.
  • Production time depends on quantity, material, handles, printing and production schedule.
  • Transport time is additional to production time.
  • Exact production and delivery time is confirmed in the quote.

Artwork files

  • Preferred vector formats: AI, EPS or print-ready PDF.
  • Text must be converted to outlines or the fonts used must be supplied.
  • Colour shades must be specified using Pantone codes.
  • The design is placed on the manufacturer's approved dieline.
  • Allow for the print area, handle position, gussets and reinforcements.
  • The print file is checked and approved before production.

When the bag is part of the product presentation

Material, handles, construction and printing are selected together to give the product a carefully considered presentation. Cord and ribbon handles can be adapted to the company's visual identity and the bag's use.

LDPE creates a soft, stretchable bag with a smooth surface. HDPE is stiffer and has a different feel. The stated thicknesses, approximately 120 µm for LDPE and approximately 100 µm for HDPE, apply to certain standard solutions; the correct thickness is always determined by dimensions, construction and weight. The handles attach to the top of the bag and can be combined with a reinforced top edge, reinforced base and side or bottom gussets. A square bottom is a possible construction, with suitability and availability confirmed for the project. Materials with recycled feedstock can be assessed according to use and manufacturing possibilities. Logo printing and custom design

Logos, text, patterns and campaign graphics can be combined with transparent, coloured or opaque plastic in a glossy, matt or frosted finish. Some flexo printing solutions offer up to 6 colours. The number of colours, print area and design on each side are determined by material and construction. Special printing and more detailed designs are assessed for the selected production process.

Which handles can be selected?

Cord, textile or ribbon handles may be possible, depending on the construction. Colour, length, thickness and attachment are adapted to the bag.

Do all cord-handle bags have a square bottom?

No. The bag can also be flat or have bottom or side gussets. The construction is selected according to the product and manufacturing possibilities.

Which plastic should we choose?

LDPE or HDPE is selected according to surface feel, dimensions, construction and product weight. Carrying capacity is determined by the bag's complete construction.

Can the bag be printed with a logo?

Yes. The number of colours and print area depend on material, construction and manufacturing method. Some solutions offer up to 6 colours.

Can recycled raw material be used?

It may be possible when the application requirements allow it. Composition and suitability are confirmed for each project.
