CHOOSE TO SUIT YOUR PRODUCT

For foods with specific protection requirements

Barrier packaging combines several material layers to protect the contents against factors including oxygen and moisture. It is used when product shelf life and the packing process place specific demands on materials and sealing.

Thermoformed boxes and trays can be adapted to the product's shape and the automatic line. Modified-atmosphere or vacuum packaging requires the tray, barrier film and closure to work together. The final construction is selected and tested for the project.

  • Meat and fish
  • Dairy products and cheese
  • Ready meals and quick-preparation meals
  • Bakery products
  • Foods requiring a longer shelf life

Marking as part of the complete solution

Logos and technical markings can be printed on the box, tray or film depending on construction. Flexographic printing and Pantone colours are used for industrial runs. Emballa coordinates material, construction and manufacturer according to food and process requirements.
