The top of the bag is folded inwards to create a double layer where the handle is die-cut. This gives a neatly finished top edge and helps reinforce the area under strain when the bag is carried.
LDPE is soft, stretchable and smooth, while HDPE is stiffer and can offer higher tensile strength in thinner constructions. Material and thickness are selected according to product weight, bag dimensions and the desired surface feel. Recycled feedstock can be used when project requirements and production allow it; composition, colour and content are confirmed separately. The folded section's height and the opening's shape are adapted to dimensions and carrying requirements. Bags can be flat or gusseted. Side and bottom gusset options need to be confirmed with the manufacturer. Carrying capacity also depends on material, thickness and the complete construction. Emballa helps you compare production options and select material, construction and printing for the project. Behind Emballa is Plastrum OÜ in Estonia, working with business customers in the Baltics and Scandinavia.
